MMO counts on generous donations to keep their services running. To raise awareness (and moolah), MMO sponsors fundraisers throughout the year. MMO fundraisers are well known for being entertaining celebrations, events that everyone can enjoy. We could say that MMO puts the FUN in FUNdraiser, but that would be a really bad pun… Aw, who are we kidding, we love bad puns!
The Buffalo Stampede is a group of painted buffalo found in and around Bartlesville. Each uniquely decorated buffalo is sponsored by a local business or individual, with the sponsorship proceeds going to Mary Martha Outreach. Take a drive around town and see each and every buffalo in the herd.
ShamRock the Ville is an annual Saint Patrick's Day treat, with a 5k run. All of downtown joins in the festivities, so there is a little something for everyone. Expect to see lots of green costumes as the Irish and Irish-at-heart celebrate the Running O' the Green.
All fun aside, MMO relies on fundraising efforts and donations to keep operations running throughout the year. MMO employs only two full-time and four part-time employees. There are 96 volunteers that generously donate their time to keep things going. After 13 years, the executive director/co-founder still is not paid. Money raised goes to the community, to provide services that are desperately needed.
